The Sunderland manager has taken to Twitter to thank the fans for their support throughout the season.

Sunderland have once again managed to escape the drop to the Championship, and perhaps it is now time for the club to push on.

The Black Cats regularly get over 40,000 fans for their home games at the Stadium of Light, and the club should show more ambition.

Allardyce should be given funds and the freedom to sign the players he wants in the summer transfer window.

Sunderland should be aiming for a top-10 finish in the Premier League during the 2016-17 campaign.
