Rodney Marsh suggests that Ross Barkley should leave Everton in the summer transfer window.

Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Ross Barkley should leave Everton in the summer transfer window.

Marsh made the comments following Everton’s 3-0 defeat to Sunderland away from home in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

The performance of Roberto Martinez’s side against the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light was disappointing.

Barkley, who is 22 years of age and plays as an attacking midfielder, started the game and played for the first half.

Marsh has suggested on Twitter that the England international should leave the Toffees at the end of the season.

Against Sunderland on Wednesday evening, Barkley took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 82%, attempted one dribble, and made one block.

In 37 Premier League appearances for Everton this season, the youngster has scored eight goals, created 55 chances, has a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and has won 27 headers, 112 dribbles and 23 tackles.
