Crystal Palace enjoyed a stunning first half to the campaign but following a wretched run at the turn of the year, the Eagles look set for a disappointing finish in the lower reaches of the Premier League table.
Admittedly, Palace do have the FA Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to later this month but the showcase event cannot mask the fact that the South London side have been very poor over the last five months.
In order to avoid the torrid run of form spilling into next season as well, manager Alan Pardew is aware of the fact that he will need to strengthen the squad this summer and a number of players have already been linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent weeks.
Now according to reports from the Daily Mail, it has been revealed that Palace are considering a move for Wigan Athletic star Max Power.
Power was a mainstay in the Wigan midfield which comfortably claimed the League One title this season, scoring six goals as well as providing eight assists and as a result, the former Tranmere star is said to have caught the attention of Pardew.
Palace are currently believed to be planning a summer move for the midfielder but getting the deal done will not be straightforward as they are expected to face competition from the likes of Brentford and Blackburn Rovers.
