Credit Suisse has named Haidee Lee head of sellside M&A Americas in its investment banking and capital markets division, according to a memo obtained by IFR.

Reuters reports that Lee joins Credit Suisse from BMO Capital Markets, where she was most recently head of middle market advisory. She had previously been with UBS for 15 years.

In the meantime, Bloomberg News reports that UBS hired Commerzbank's former Chief Executive Officer Martin Blessing as head of personal and corporate banking, succeeding Lukas Gaehwiler.

Blessing, 52, who stepped down from the lender last month, was also appointed head of UBS Switzerland and will join the group executive board on September 1, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday. Gaehwiler, 51, has requested to step down from his current roles to assume new responsibilities within the bank.
