Neil Lennon says he is still interested in returning to Celtic.

Former Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has confirmed once again that he is still interested in making a return to Celtic.

The Celtic manager job remains unfilled with Ronny Deila announcing his intention to stand down at the end of the season, despite leading the club to a fifth straight title.

Lennon was a guest on BBC Radio 5 Live last night, and was asked not for the first time, if he would be keen on taking the job.

The Northern Irishman insisted his position remains the same, that he would be thrilled to return to his old club.

He said: "I've already said I would be [interested] yeah, it's great club, with great people, I had many good years there, and I'm out of work!

"I'm definitely interested, but I know there's plenty of candidates again and they have to go through them all."

Lennon won titles with Celtic as a player and understands the passion and the rivalry which exists with rivals Rangers, who have recently been promoted back to the top flight.

His time at Bolton did not work out well with the team suffering relegation this season, but their financial situation was so dire that it counts as a mitigating factor in his struggles.
