Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed to the club’s official website what he told his players after the match against Chelsea.

The Reds played out a 1-1 draw with London outfit Chelsea at home in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

It was the last game of the season at Anfield, and Klopp has disclosed what he told his players after full time.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach has also named three players who played well against Chelsea - goalkeeper Simon Mignolet and defenders Kolo Toure and Dejan Lovren.

“I said to my players after the game that this was the most important game of the season because we could learn from most of it,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website.

“They (Chelsea) could have scored the second one but Simon Mignolet did brilliantly,” added the Liverpool boss. “Kolo and Dejan, in one or two situations saved our life in these moments.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Anfield on Wednesday evening, hosts Liverpool had 55% of his possession, took 28 shots of which just nine were on target, and earned seven corners.

Visitors Chelsea had 45% of the possession, took 13 shots of which seven were on target, and earned three corners.

Liverpool will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns.
