Tottenham will take on Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The North London outfit need just a draw to finish above Arsenal and in second spot in the league table.
Newcastle would have nothing to play for, as they have been relegated from the Premier League.
Sunderland’s 3-0 victory over Everton at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday evening has consigned the Magpies to the Championship.
Former Tottenham manager Redknapp believes that this is only going to help Tottenham, who he expects to get the job done at St. James’ Park and finish above Arsenal in the Premier League table.
“Spurs really miss Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele’s, and although they haven’t been as effective without them, they are still a top side and you would fancy them to win at St James’ Park against a team with nothing to play for under a manager who is probably going to leave,” added the former West Ham United manager.
While Redknapp has a point, it must also be noted that the game against Tottenham will be Newcastle’s final of the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.
Rafael Benitez’s side are certainly going to do their best in order to give the home fans something to cheer about.
