Gary Lineker has praised Tottenham Hotspur for sorting Mauricio Pochettino’s future out, and putting an end to any speculation that he could be set leave White Hart Lane.
Pochettino was snapped having a meeting with Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson earlier in the week, leading to rumours surfacing that he could be edging closer to landing a job with the Red Devils.
However, Pochettino has proven his commitment to Spurs by signing a new deal which keeps him at the North London club until 2021.
Lineker was delighted with the news, and he says that it is the best possible signing that Tottenham could have made.

Pochettino’s commitment to Spurs has also been greeted with delight by supporters, who are glad the Argentine boss has allayed any fears that he may have left.
Pochettino announced that he had verbally agreed a contract over two weeks ago, and concerns were rising due to the delay in any official announcement.
Pochettino has been at Spurs since 2014, and he has transformed the North London side into Premier League title contenders during his time there.
The entirety of Pochettino’s current backroom team also signed new deals to keep them with the Lilywhites.
