Sheffield Wednesday forward congratulated his former side Celtic

Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper has belated praised Celtic for winning the Scottish Premiership title on social media site Twitter.

Celtic wrapped up the league title last weekend, after they beat Aberdeen 3-2.

But Hooper waited until after Celtic’s match against St. Johnstone yesterday, to offer his congratulations.

The Bhoys actually lost to St. Johnstone, but the result was fairly inconsequential, with the title already wrapped up.

Celtic have dominated the Scottish Premiership once again, to secure their fifth title in a row.

Hooper spoke recently about his affection for the Bhoys, describing his time at Parkhead as the best of his career to date.

Hooper spent three season at Celtic, and he was a prolific scorer during his time in Scottish football.

The 28-year-old left the Bhoys in 2013 to join Norwich, and he is now playing for Wednesday in the Championship.
