Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield last night.

It was the Eden Hazard show for much of last night's game at Anfield as the Belgian showed just why he was handed the Player of the Year Award last season with a wonderful display, culminating in a fabulous solo goal on the half hour mark.

Liverpool got off to fast start as they looked to carry the momentum generated in recent weeks into next week's Europa League final. They got off to a pretty fast start but Chelsea managed to survive early on and grew into the game, frustrated Liverpool and created chances of their own.

Hazard's first half strike was certainly the stand-out moment of the first half, shortly after Chelsea fans made their feelings known that they want captain John Terry to be offered a new deal - and prolong his stay at the club.

The second half saw Liverpool try and plug away to get back on Liverpool terms only to be met by fierce resistance from Chelsea, who threatened to double their lead on the counter-attack.

But Liverpool eventually got their equaliser after Christian Benteke nodded home from close range for his 10th goal of the season as Asmir Begovic made an absolute howler in trying to deal with Sheyi Ojo's cross.

The home side went on their lap of honour, as is customary with the final home game of the season, which saw Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can handed 'golden sambas' for being voted Player and Young Player of the Year respectively by a fans' site.
