Eric Black says Jack Grealish will have big impact at Aston Villa next year

Jack Grealish

The youngster has barely featured for Aston Villa this season.

Aston Villa caretaker manager Eric Black has told the club’s official website that Jack Grealish will have a big impact next season.

The talented youngster enjoyed his breakthrough under Tim Sherwood last season, starring in the FA Cup semi final win over Liverpool.

This season has not gone so well though, with a series of off the pitch indiscretions seeing him left to play for the reserves by Remi Garde.

He has not featured much since the Frenchman departed either as Eric Black has left him out of his teams.

With them set to play in the Championship next season, they will need their star man back to his best, and Black has backed him to have a big impact.

"Jack is an outstanding young player, no question He's got a great future with this club,” he told avfc.co.uk.

"What I would say is that he's a fantastic footballer, a great lad and he's working hard. I am sure he will have a big impact next season."

If Grealish is to play a major role for Aston Villa next season, he has some work to do in convincing the club’s next manager.

He has hardly shone on the pitch this season when given his chance, and his antics off the pitch have not have gown down well with many.

There is no denying his quality though, and if he can get back to the kind of form he enjoyed under Sherwood, then there is no denying he will play a pivotal part in their future.
