Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is never going to get much respect from Tottenham fans, especially after mocking the team during two consecutive FA Cup parades.
The 24-year-old has missed almost the entire season, making a late substitute appearance against Manchester City at the weekend, and is hoping to make it to Euro 2016.
On Wednesday he was picked by ESPN to take part in a question and answer session on Twitter.
With Twitter being an open forum rather than say a private Facebook page, it gave a platform for Tottenham fans to pile in and send messages expressing their dislike towards the midfielder.
These events have gone badly in the past, with Steven Gerrard and Stewart Downing among those whose online question and answer sessions have been hijacked by rival fans.
This one was asking for trouble, and probably will not be repeated in the same form again, although despite claims it would be cancelled ESPN intend to proceed with the Q&A.
