The Reds have seriously improved under Jurgen Klopp's guidance.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has offered his assessment of their season to the club’s official website.

Liverpool have had an up and down campaign, which has seen them change manager and reach a European final.

They started poorly under Brendan Rodgers, which resulted in his sacking following the Merseyside derby in October.

He was replaced by Jurgen Klopp, and since then the Reds have mostly impressed, reaching both the Capital One Cup final and the Europa League final.

They have certainly improved under the German’s leadership, and Can predicts trophies in the future if they can keep up the good work they have shown under him.

“I think we had some ups and downs,” he told

“In the last few months you can see we play much better football, and we win more games and score more goals. If we keep up the good work from the last months, then hopefully we will win [trophies] next year.”

It has certainly been an interesting year for Liverpool who will be eyeing a much more solid future under Klopp.

Much is likely to rest on the work he can do in the summer transfer window, with many predicting the Reds to be busy as he moulds the squad to better suit his needs.

If he can be successful in that, then there is no denying that the Reds could be big hitters once again.
