Everton failed to return to winning ways in the Premier League, as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light.
The Toffees were never in the game and went into the half-time interval 2-0 down. The performance of the Merseyside outfit in the first half was hugely disappointing, and former Everton left-back Ball has criticised the team strongly.
So so so poor! & That's being nice..— Michael Ball (@bally03) 11 May 2016

The defeat to Sunderland on Wednesday evening means that Everton now have no chance of finishing in the top 10 of the Premier League this season.
This will be a huge disappointment for a club who were expected to challenge for a top-six spot at the start of the season.
Manager Roberto Martinez is already under pressure, and the latest defeat is only going to increase that.
As for Sunderland, the result on Wednesday means that they will play in the Premier League next season.
Norwich City and Newcastle United have been relegated to the Championship as a result along with Aston Villa.
