Manchester United and Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Pochettino-Sir Alex Ferguson meeting

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino reportedly had lunch with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson on Tuesday.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the reported meeting up of Mauricio Pochettino and Sir Alex Ferguson on Tuesday evening.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham head coach Pochettino and former Manchester United manager Ferguson had lunch in Mayfair.

It has also been reported that Jesus Perez, Tottenham's assistant head coach, was at the meeting as well.

The Daily Mail has claimed that the meeting was held due to the duo’s mutual admiration of each other, and that Spurs were aware of it.

Pochettino has been in charge of Tottenham since the summer of 2014, and he has done a remarkable job at White Hart Lane.

There should be no surprise that Ferguson, one of the greatest football managers in history, is an admirer of the former Southampton boss.

Tottenham fans, though, would be forgiven if they have reservations about this meeting. After all, The Sun reported only last month that Pochettino is a managerial candidate for the United job in the summer.

Louis van Gaal is in charge of United at the moment, but the team’s performances have not been great.

Moreover, the Red Devils are in danger of missing out on the top four of the Premier League this season.

United and Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the meeting between Pochettino and Ferguson.
