Joey Barton reacts strongly on Twitter to Newcastle relegation

Sunderland’s win against Everton in the Premier League means that Newcastle United have been relegated to the Championship.

Burnley midfielder Joey Barton has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s relegation to the Championship.

Newcastle have been relegated from the Premier League following Sunderland’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Everton at the Stadium of Light this evening.

Norwich City and Aston Villa will join the Magpies in the second tier of English football next season.

Former Newcastle midfielder Barton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the club’s relegation to the Championship.

The former Queens Park Rangers man, who will play in the Premier League next season with Burnley, believes that the Magpies will be back.

Nolberto Solano, another former Newcastle midfielder, has also expressed his disappointment at Rafael Benitez’s side's relegation.

Newcastle are one of the biggest clubs in England, and their relegation to the Championship will be a massive disappointment to the fans.

It will be hard for the Magpies to get promotion back to the Premier League straightaway, as the Championship is a hugely competitive and tough league.
