Lascelles and Dummett react on Twitter to Newcastle relegation

Newcastle In Action

Newcastle United have been relegated from the Premier League to the Championship.

Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s relegation to the Championship.

The Magpies have been relegated from the Premier League following Sunderland’s 3-0 victory over Everton at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday evening.

Lascelles, who has played in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the relegation.

The former England Under-21 international defender has also said that the players need to pick themselves up and come back stronger.

Newcastle defender Paul Dummett has also taken to Twitter to express his disappointment.

Newcastle have underperformed all season, and even a managerial change has not prevented them from getting relegated to the Championship.

The Magpies still have one game left to play in the Premier League this season, but perhaps the club should start looking ahead.

The key question is whether or not Rafael Benitez will remain as the Newcastle manager. Then there is the small matter of building a squad that can compete and achieve success in the Championship.
