Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper Callum Burton has been linked with a host of top clubs recently.
The 19-year-old England youth international has been in top form and as HITC reported recently the likes of Aston Villa, Rangers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are all interested in the player.
His contract with Shrewsbury expires this summer and Aston Villa, Rangers, Wolves and Burnley will all be hoping that he departs New Meadow in the summer.
But this week the likes of Villa and Rangers will be disappointed to hear that Burton has made his intention to stay at Shrewsbury very clear.
Speaking to the Shropshire Star he stated:
“Of course (I'd like to stay).
"I’ve grown up watching the club, I’ve played for them and I couldn’t wish to make my debut for a better team so I want to stay and play for the team as much as I can.
“I’m out of contract at the end of June so it’s a case of waiting to see what happens.

Burton made his debut for Shrewsbury at the weekend, albeit in a 3-0 loss v Swindon Town.
Burton, who has been compared to former Shrewsbury star and current England number one Joe Hart, has also spent time on loan at the likes of Southport, Nuneaton Town and Workington.
Aston Villa, Rangers, Wolves and Burnley will obviously be keeping tabs on the situation as with his contract expiring, his decision to stay may be taking out of his hands.
