Clinton N'Jie barely featured for Tottenham during his debut season, with injury keeping him out from December until a brief appearance last weekend.
Even before his injury the Cameroon international had barely got going after his summer transfer, and speaking to the club's official website he has admitted it has been a frustrating season.
The 22-year-old promises next season he will make a bigger impact, and show supporters what he can bring to the team.
He said: "“Next season I think I’m going to be like a new signing to this team because I still have a lot to offer to our supporters and my team-mates.
"I just wish that next season I will be fitter so I can perform how I know I can and make everyone happy.”
There is still one more game for N'Jie to make an impact and become a hero, with Spurs bidding to finish above rivals Arsenal, just needing to beat Newcastle United on the final day to do so.
Had N'Jie been fit all season, who knows if Spurs could have got closer to champions Leicester City and pulled further away from Arsenal, but a full pre-season should do him good in preparation for the next.
