Rio Ferdinand critiques West Ham 'keeper Randolph on Twitter

West Ham Upton Park

The defender was not impressed with West Ham man conceding Manchester United's second goal.

Rio Ferdinand has criticised West Ham United goalkeeper Darren Randolph for Manchester United’s second goal on Tuesday evening.

West Ham hosted Manchester United in their final game at Upton Park in midweek, with the game crucial to both side’s top four hopes.

The home side knew a win would leave them in contention in the final game, while Louis van Gaal’s side were chasing two wins in the final two games to seal a Champions League place.

United were on their way to victory at one stage too as two goals from Anthony Martial put them in front for a short period of time.

The second goal saw Randolph beaten at his near post by the Frenchman, when really he should have saved it, and Ferdinand was not impressed.

Luckily for Randolph, his mistake did not end up costing his side as headers from Michail Antonio and Winston Reid saw Slaven Bilic’s side secured all three points.

However, with him now having conceded five goals in his last two games it has shown that he has some way to challenging number one Adrian in future.
