Reports claim Tottenham duo met with Sir Alex Ferguson

Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino and Jesus Perez reportedly had lunch with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino had lunch with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid has claimed that Pochettino and Ferguson had lunch in Mayfair and has also posted the pictures online (click here to see them).

According to The Daily Mail, Jesus Perez, Tottenham's assistant head coach, was also at the meeting in London on Tuesday.

Should Tottenham Hotspur fans be worried?

Pochettino is one of the best managers in the Premier League and has done a wonderful job at Tottenham so far.

The former Southampton boss has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane in the summer, although he was quoted as saying by The Sun last month that he has reached verbal agreement with Tottenham to extend his current contract until 2021.

The Sun reported last month that Pochettino is a managerial candidate for the United job in the summer. Spurs fans, though, should not be worried about the meeting between Pochettino and Ferguson.

The reason is that Tottenham were aware of the meeting, which was held due to the duo’s mutual admiration of each other, as reported by The Daily Mail.
