Tottenham Hotspur reportedly feel that Liverpool's Adam Lallana would make a good addition.
Matt Le Tissier has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 10th May, that he would not be surprised to see Liverpool’s Adam Lallana join Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
Reports in The Sun today suggested that Lallana was £20 million target for Spurs, as Mauricio Pochettino looked to reunite with the attacking midfielder he worked with at Southampton, earlier in their respective careers.
And Le Tissier says that he would not be at all surprised if Lallana did make a move to White Hart Lane.
“It wouldn’t surprise me,” the Southampton legend said. “Adam had a really good relationship with Pochettino.
“However, having said that, it looks like Klopp fancies him in his team and he’s played pretty regularly. The last few weeks he’s come into some really good form, and he looks in the frame for a starting place at the Euro’s.”
Spurs are set to invest in their attacking ranks this summer, as they look to strengthen their squad.
Pochettino has so far spent prudently throughout his time at the Lilywhites, but with Champions League football guaranteed next term, Spurs may have to spend heavily to add some depth to their squad.
The signing of Lallana would outline Tottenham’s ambition, and he would increase Pochettino’s options in attacking midfield.
Lallana has made 49 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season, scoring on seven occasions.
