Klopp made several changes for the weekend's win over Watford three days after a victory against Villarreal took the Reds to the Europa League final.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said there are places still up for grabs for the Europa League final against Sevilla, and that he does not know what the starting line-up in Basel will be next Wednesday.
Klopp rotated the side once again this weekend - making a total of eight changes for the 2-0 win over Watford from their 3-0 win over Villarreal in the semi-final - suggesting that Klopp has a side in mind for Liverpool's last game in their quest for silverware this season.
The Reds boss told the Liverpool Echo: "I haven’t thought for one second yet about the line-up for Sevilla.
“You cannot say ‘we will hold players back for the final’. We have to take what we can get from our last two league games and then we will see.
“Not one of the players who was rested on Sunday because of the intensity of Thursday night was like: ‘Yesssssss! How cool is this! Let me stay at home’.
“Instead they were like: ‘What? Why me? They all wanted to play’. (Adam) Lallana, Emre (Can), Dejan (Lovren), blah, blah, blah, all these guys. That’s a good situation.
“I don’t want to create a pressure and say ‘come on, show me you are ready for the final'."
Klopp is evidently pleased that his players seemingly want to play every game, but he has had the opportunity to look at other members of the squad before the season concludes, and he has been able to keep players fresh while simultaneously assessing whether any of the fringe men have a contribution to make from next season onwards.
Changes are expected again for tomorrow night's clash with Chelsea in the Premier League at Anfield with the Liverpool side possibly closer to the one that beat Villarreal on Thursday night, while the final day game against West Bromwich Albion could see changes yet again.
It will be interesting to see if anyone participates in all three of the Reds' remaining games as Liverpool look to end the season in the best possible manner.
