Alexis Sánchez has not lived up to pre-season hype, although he has raised his performance levels over the past month.
Sánchez caused a stir when he allegedly stormed out of the Emirates after being substituted last week during Arsenal's victory over Norwich City, and speculation has mounted regarding his future.
The Standard go on to report how Juventus general manger Giuseppe Marotta seemed to talk up his club's interest in the Chilean:
"It’s nice to read that so many players would like Juventus. As for Sanchez, he’s definitely a good player.”
The former Barcelona man's future will be one of intense speculation during the off-season, until a deal is eventually signed, although the newspaper claims that Arsène Wenger is confident of tying down Sánchez and Mesut Özil to new long-term deals over the summer.
Although Sánchez struggled on his return from a lengthly injury lay-off, he has shown glimpses of his best form more recently and has scored six goals in his last seven outings for the Gunners.
With Champions League football all but assured for next season, Arsenal fans will be hoping they can not only tie down their stars for the long term, but also make some world-class additions to enable the Londoners to sustain a Premier League title challenge next term.
