West Ham United are set to host Manchester United at Upton Park tomorrow.
The Hammers host United tomorrow, in the last ever match which will be played at Upton Park.
West Ham will be desperate to give their historic stadium the send off it deserves by claiming the three points against the Red Devils, but Louis van Gaal’s side have their own reasons for needing the win.
United are still in the hunt for a top four place, and their Champions League qualification hopes now lie in their own hands.
Following Manchester City failure to beat Arsenal, United now know that maximum points from their last two fixtures would be enough to get them into the top four.
However, Pearce is backing West Ham to avoid defeat against the 20 times Premier League champions.
“I don’t think United will get a result, a win, at West Ham,” Pearce said. “I really don’t. I can’t see them winning down there.
“I think the tough game for City will be going for Swansea. The fate of both teams will be in City’s hands. I’d rather by in City’s position.”
If United fail to beat West Ham then it could all come down to the final day of the season.
While City take on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium, United are set to host Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
