The Spaniard will play for Steve Gatting's men against Aston Villa on Tuesday.
Cazorla played his first football in five months as Steve Gatting's men defeated Blackburn Rovers in last week's Division Two play-off semi-final, having been named on the bench for the first-team's victory at Norwich City the previous weekend.
The 31-year-old was once again an unused substitute as the Gunners drew 2-2 with Manchester City in the Premier League this Sunday and will hope to feature in next weekend's finale against Aston Villa.
However, he must overcome Tuesday's under-21 play-off final encounter with the same opponents first - with the winner promoted to Division One, where the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs await.
And Cazorla, whose teammates were two points off the top of the Premier League at the time he was sidelined, is grateful of the opportunity, it seems.
Fellow senior squad members Tomas Rosicky and Calum Chambers were also present in Tuesday's U21 victory.
Clubs are permitted to name a maximum of three outfield players over 21 in their squads, with goalkeepers not counting towards this tally.
