Sunderland attacker Ola Toivonen has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate his former club PSV on winning the Eredivisie title this season.
PSV clinched their 23rd league title on the final day of the season on Sunday. Phillip Cocu’s side were level on points with Ajax heading into the last day of the campaign, with the Amsterdam outfit in control due to a superior goal difference.
However, Ajax failed to win their game, drawing 1-1 with De Graafschap, while PSV got the better of PEC Zwolle 3-1 away from home
Toivonen, who joined Sunderland on a season-long loan deal from French club Rennes in the summer of 2015, played for PSV from 2009 to 2014.
