Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-2 at Parkhead this afternoon to officially clinch their fifth successive Scottish Premiership title.
Youngster Patrick Roberts netted twice in the opening 20 minutes to send the Hoops well on their way, before Mikael Lustig added a third just after the break to effectively end the match as a contest.
But that did not stop the visitors from trying to earn a point, as Derek McInnes's side, Celtic's closest challengers for the title this season, pulled two goals back through Niall McGinn and Andrew Considine, though it was not enough for the Dons.
Ronny Deila's boys were effectively champions regardless of what happened this afternoon, but it was a professional job by the Bhoys to wrap up the crown for a fifth successive season.
Celtic old boys Fraser Forster and Pierre van Hooijdonk were among those to tweet their congratulations to their former club shortly afterwards.
The Bhoys are 12 points clear of Aberdeen in second to ensure it was yet another fairly one-sided title race, but with Rangers due back to the top flight next term, defending it might prove tricky.
