Arsenal legend Ian Wright predicted on the BBC 606 5 live show on Sunday evening (May 8) that Tottenham Hotspur will finish second in the Premier League this season.
The former England international believes that Tottenham will finish above North London rivals Arsenal in the league table this campaign.
“I think that Spurs will probably win their last game and I think they will probably end up second,” said Wright on the BBC 606 5 live show on Sunday evening (May 8) while discussing Arsenal's chances of finishing second ahead of Spurs. “I think they will do it. I think they will just scrape over.”
Tottenham are on 70 points from 37 matches at the moment, while Arsenal are two points behind them in third.
For Spurs to finish second behind champions Leicester City, they need just a point against Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.
It could be a tough match for Tottenham, especially if Newcastle still have a chance of escaping the drop to the Championship on the final day of the season.
Arsenal will take on already relegated Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in North London on the final day of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Gunners should register a comfortable win, meaning that there will be pressure on Tottenham at Newcastle.
