Tottenham failed to return to winning ways in the Premier League, as they went down 2-1 to Southampton at White Hart Lane.
The North London outfit took the lead against the Saints, but conceded twice to drop all three points.
Former Spurs defender Roberts does not believe that the players were tired, but he has urged them not to get suspended.
Midfielders Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli were suspended for the match against Southampton, and the duo will not play against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on the final day of the season.
Roberts has suggested on Twitter that for Tottenham to be successful next season, they need to avoid getting suspensions.
We've had great season and will get better next season, but we need to learn re our suspensions as we need all our great players on the pitch— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) May 8, 2016
Don't agree that we looked knackered today we only played 1 game a week think we just need our best players like Leicester stay on pitchto— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) May 8, 2016
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 70 points from 37 matches.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are two points clear of North London rivals Arsenal, who are currently third in the standings.
