Noel Whelan says that he will present The Noel Whelan Show in his underwear on BBC Radio Leeds if Leeds United get promoted to the Premier League next season.
Noel Whelan said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, May 6) that he will present the show in his pants if Leeds United get promoted to the Premier League next season.
The former Leeds striker made the comments when discussing Gary Lineker’s promise to present the Match of the Day show next season in his underwear if Leicester won the Premier League.
Whelan has suggested that he will do something similar if Leeds get promoted from the Championship to the Premier League next season.
“If Leeds get promoted next year, I will do it in my pants,” said the former Leeds striker.
Whelan may not have been serious when he made the comments about presenting the The Noel Whelan Show in his pants, but even if he was, he may not have to do that.
That’s because Leeds may not even finish in the top six of the Championship next season, let alone get promoted.
The West Yorkshire outfit have not featured in the Premier League since 2004 and have become also-rans in the Championship in recent years.
