The 29-year-old Argentine’s current contract with Rangers runs out at the end of June. Faurlin has been on the books of QPR since 2009 and is quite popular among the fans.
Austin, a former teammate of the midfielder at the London outfit, has taken to Twitter to wish him all the best for the future.
Best of luck to a friend @alefaurlin one of the best midfielders I have played with one lucky club will sign a top lad and top player— Charlie Austin (@chazaustin9) May 9, 2016
Faurlin is a very talented and creative player, but his progress has been stunted by three ACL injuries in as many years.
The former Instituto midfielder made a successful return to full fitness this season, but it seems that it was not enough for him to earn a new contract with Rangers.
The midfielder created 50 chances in 30 Championship appearances for QPR this campaign.
