The Southampton striker has wished the departing Queens Park Rangers midfielder best of luck for the future.

Southampton striker Charlie Austin has taken to social networking site Twitter to send departing Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin a heartfelt farewell message.

QPR have announced on their official website that Faurlin will leave the club in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old Argentine’s current contract with Rangers runs out at the end of June. Faurlin has been on the books of QPR since 2009 and is quite popular among the fans.

Austin, a former teammate of the midfielder at the London outfit, has taken to Twitter to wish him all the best for the future.

The 26-year-old striker, who joined Premier League outfit Southampton from QPR in the January transfer window, believes that Faurlin will find a top club soon.

Faurlin is a very talented and creative player, but his progress has been stunted by three ACL injuries in as many years.

The former Instituto midfielder made a successful return to full fitness this season, but it seems that it was not enough for him to earn a new contract with Rangers.

The midfielder created 50 chances in 30 Championship appearances for QPR this campaign.
