Wilshere recently returned from a long-term injury, but he has yet to show that he is ready for a major international competitionfitness-wise.
The 24-year-old Arsenal midfielder did play an important role in the Three Lions’ qualifying campaign, though.
The Englishman is a very talented player, but injury problems over the years have stunted his progress.
Former Arsenal striker Henry seems to rate Wilshere highly, and has suggested that he could be part of the England squad for the Euro 2016 finals.
“Roy Hodgson names his squad on Thursday and I am sure he has a plan for Jack,” the former France international wrote in The Sun. “If he is fully fit, you have to take Jack to France.
“Hodgson knows he is going to upset some players but Wilshere was a key asset in the qualifying campaign. The little man is special. You have to treat him in a special way.”
Wilshere has made just one appearance in the Premier League this season. During the 2014-15 campaign, the midfielder played 14 times in the league for Arsenal, scoring two goals and creating 16 chances in the process.
Back in 2013-14, the England international scored two goals and created 14 chances in 13 Premier League games for the Gunners.
