Boleyn farewell not a distraction v Manchester United, says West Ham ‘keeper

West Ham United play Manchester United in their final game at the Stadium on Tuesday.

West Ham United’s farewell to the Boleyn Ground will not be a distraction against Manchester United, Darren Randolph has insisted to the club’s official website.

West Ham United host Manchester United at their famous old ground on Tuesday in a huge battle clash in the race for the top four.

It is set to be an emotional affair for them, as it will be the last time they play at Upton Park before their move to the Olympic Stadium next season.

There are fears that could prove a distraction, as they desperately need to beat United to remain in the race for Champions League football.

Randolph though, has insisted that will not be the case despite an emotional evening being on the cards.

“It will be an emotional night for sure,” he told

“But it won’t be a distraction to us, no way. We know what is at stake and we will be doing everything we can to get a result against Man United.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how West Ham manage to deal with the atmosphere in their final game.

Ideally the game would have been unimportant for them, but instead it is vital to their hopes of finishing in the top four.

They will be hoping that they can thrive upon it, and not only give those chances a boost, but also mark their final fixture at the stadium with a victory.
