Mauricio Pochettino admits there's one thing which needs to change at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are currently in second place in the Premier League table.

Mauricio Pochettino has told the London Evening Standard that Tottenham Hotspur’s mentality must change.

Spurs’ form has dipped recently, and they have failed to win any of their last three matches.

Tottenham’s poor run of results started with draws against West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea, before they were beaten by Southampton earlier today.

And Pochettino says that Spurs need to stop worrying about other sides before they think about themselves.

"We need to start to think like a big club, not worrying about what's happening in another house,” he said.

"We still need to learn a lot of things - we need to keep improving into next season.

"We need to change that mentality, to be strong and this what we need to change to be a big, big, big club.”

Tottenham have gone from a side challenging for the title to one who are now battling to keep hold of second spot.

Spurs had hopes of catching Leicester City, but their sole aim now is to make sure they are not caught in the race for second.

Tottenham currently have a two point lead over third placed Arsenal in the Premier League table, but they still have work to do if they want to keep hold of their current position.

Arsenal’s last home match of the season comes against rock bottom Aston Villa, meaning it is likely that Pochettino’s side will have to avoid defeat against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park to finish ahead of their North London rivals.
