Lord Sugar picks on two Tottenham Hotspur players

Tottenham Hotspur can still finish below Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Lord Sugar has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli should be blamed if Tottenham Hotspur fail to finish second in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham are second in the league table at the moment with 70 points from 37 matches, just two points ahead of North London rivals Arsenal, who are currently third in the standings.

Spurs lost 2-1 to Southampton at White Hart Lane on Sunday, while Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw with Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in their Premier League game.

Following Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s defeat at home, former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar suggested on Twitter that Dembele and Alli should be blamed if they fail to finish above Arsenal.

Both are currently suspended and will miss Tottenham’s final game of the season against relegation candidates Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

Arsenal may have failed to win against City, but they can still pip Tottenham to the second spot in the Premier League table this season.

If Tottenham lose to Newcastle and the Gunners win against already relegated Aston Villa on the final day of the season, then the Gunners will finish second.
