Leeds United drew 1-1 with Preston North End yesterday.
Leeds United supporters have praised the performance of Lewie Coyle in their match against Preston North End yesterday.
Coyle was selected to start in Leeds’ final game of the season, and he put in an impressive showing throughout the contest.
The youngster continued to look at home in his side’s first-team, and he showcased his defensive skills, while also proving a threat going forward.
Coyle was almost on the winning side in Lancashire, but a last minute error from Scott Wootton proved costly.
Leeds had taken the lead from the penalty spot when Chris Wood blasted home late on, but they were unable to hold on.
Wootton’s attempts to shield the ball out in injury time did not work, and Jordan Hugill robbed the former Manchester United man, before running into the box and scoring.
Leeds ended up finishing the season in 13th place in the Championship table, with the club determined to make the play offs next year.
Coyle could play a big part in the team next term, after enjoying a fine breakthrough campaign, and Leeds fans are enthused about the 20-year-old’s potential. Here is the best reaction to his performance on social media site Twitter.
