Sunderland won against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Arsenal star Gilberto Silva has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s victory over Chelsea at home.

Sunderland returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 win against London outfit Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.

Sam Allardyce’s side twice came from behind to pick up all three points from the encounter and maintain their chances of staving off relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.

Silva, who played for North London outfit Arsenal from 2002 until 2008, has expressed his admiration of Sunderland’s performance against Chelsea.

USA national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has also taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Black Cats’ win and has congratulated defender DeAndre Yedlin, who is currently on loan at Sunderland from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Sunderland are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 36 matches. The Black Cats are a point above the relegation zone and have a game in hand.
