Gary Lineker offers his opinion on Manuel Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has praised Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini on social networking site Twitter.

Pellegrini has been in charge of City since the summer of 2013, and he will leave the Citizens at the end of the season.

The former Real Madrid and Malaga boss is a real gentleman, and he has conducted himself brilliantly at the Etihad Stadium.

Even after knowing that he will be replaced by current Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola, the Chilean has continued to do his work professionally and with dedication.

Former England international striker Lineker has hailed Pellegrini on Twitter, and believes that the 62-year-old will be remembered fondly.

Pellegrini guided City to Premier League title triumph in the 2013-14 season and to League Cup success in 2014 and 2016.

This season, the Citizens progressed as far as the semi-finals of the Champions League, although there is a chance that they could miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League.
