Assombalonga’s brother shares on Twitter Forest star’s pre-match prediction

Britt Assombalonga scored for Nottingham Forest against Milton Keynes Dons in the Championship on Saturday.

Chris Assombalonga has revealed on social networking site Twitter that Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga was confident of scoring against Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old, who recently returned from a long-term injury, was on target for Forest in the 74th minute of the Championship match against MK Dons away from home at Stadium mk.

The former Peterborough United striker’s goal proved to be the winner, as Forest ended their 2015-16 Championship season with a 2-1 victory.

Chris Assombalonga has shared on Twitter the text messages he exchanged with his brother in which it is made clear that he knew that he was going to score against MK Dons.

Meanwhile, former Forest defender Brian Laws has praised Assombalonga for scoring against MK Dons.

“Britt Assombalonga's work starts now,” Laws told BBC Radio Nottingham. “One thing he hasn't lost in the knack of how to score a goal.”

Forest have finished the 2015-16 Championship season in 16th place with 55 points from 46 matches.

It has been a disappointing campaign for one of England’s biggest clubs, but perhaps next season will be different.
