The teenager came on as a late substitute against Wolves today.
The Owls had already secured their place in the top six so today’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers was something of a dead rubber.
So it was not much of a surprise to see Wednesday lose the game 2-1 at the Molineux.
After the match plenty of the Wednesday players were tweeting on the result, including midfielder Jack Stobbs.
The 18-year-old talent had not played for Wednesday since April 2014, in what was his debut for the club.
He has struggled with injury during that time but after over two years he finally returned to the Wednesday fold – entering as a late substitute.
He tweeted after the game:
Absolutely loved being back out there today after a long time, shame about the result but personally something for me to build on! #swfc— Jack Stobbs (@jackstobbs7) May 7, 2016
Barry Bannan also tweeted after the game, and he clearly has eyes on the play-offs:
Sheffield Wednesday now know that they will be playing Brighton in the play-offs after The Seagulls failed to win automatic promotion against Middlesbrough earlier today.
Wednesday fans will just be hoping that The Owls are ready for those massive fixtures.
