The Reds secured their place in the final on Thursday evening, as they knocked out Villarreal in the semi final in a comfortable 3-0 win.
They now head to Basel to take on another La Liga side in Sevilla for the final in two weeks time full of confidence about securing their latest European title.
Balague though, has warned them that they face a tough test against Unai Emery’s side, who are looking to make the trophy theirs for the third consecutive year.
“It will be tough; it’s the third final for Sevilla in three years,” he told Sky Sports. “It is a team that is very solid, they wouldn’t have been fazed by Anfield in the semi finals. It is the kind of time that mentally are ready for the big games.”
It would certainly be unwise for Liverpool to underestimate Sevilla given they are clearly suited to this tournament.
There is no denying their right to be confident either though, with wins over Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United to get to the final showing their ability.
What is certain is that winning the trophy would mark an excellent star to what many are predicting will be a trophy laden reign at Anfield for Jurgen Klopp.
