The Chilean superstar has not lived up to expectations at the Emirates this season.
The Chilean has endured a challenging season with the Gunners this term, and the newspaper claims that he stormed out of the Emirates following their 1-0 victory over Norwich City last weekend.
Sánchez was substituted in the 84th minute and proceeded to completely ignore manager Arsène Wenger as he left the field of play, heading straight down the tunnel, and out of the stadium itself.
It is not the first time Sánchez has upset the management at Arsenal. The former Barcelona man came out following back-to-back defeats against Manchester United and Swansea City to publicly criticise his teammates, claiming they lack hunger, as reported in The Telegraph:
“There are great players. I train with them daily and they have got the mentality and the desire to win but we lack hunger, the mentality that we are already winning 1-0 when we go out on to the pitch.”
Although Sánchez has not lived up to expectations this season, his form has certainly improved of late, and coincided with his switch to the right side of a front three following the emergence of Alex Iwobi. He has scored five goals in his last six Premier League outings, and has shown glimpses of his brilliance.
Arsenal head to Manchester City tomorrow in a game that has the potential to decide their Champions League fate for next season.
