Accrington Stanley youngster Matt Crooks has revealed on social networking site Twitter that his operation was successful.
The 22-year-old, who can play as a defender or as a midfielder, suffered an ankle injury in March.

Crooks is one of the most talented and promising young players in the Football League and will join Rangers in the summer transfer window.
The youngster has already agreed a pre-contract with the Gers along with Accrington teammate Josh Windass.
Rangers fans will hope that Crooks recovers soon, as he is a very good player and will play an important role for the team in the Scottish Premiership next season.
The Gers have won the Scottish Championship title this season and will feature in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign.
Rangers are likely to make a few signings in the summer transfer window.
