The Australian international is looking forward to facing Leeds United.
Leeds United take on Preston North End later today in their final Championship fixture of the season. Preston, tipped by many for relegation at the start of the campaign, have had an excellent season under the guidance of former Leeds boss Simon Grayson.
One of their star players throughout the campaign has been Australian international defender Bailey Wright.
He has been speaking about the fixture with Leeds and discussed how big the club is and how Leeds will be wanting to give their fans something to smile about with a final day win at Deepdale:
“But we have got one more game to go against Leeds.
“It’s nice to finish with a home game and hopefully we can finish on a high with a win.
“Leeds are obviously a very big club and I am sure they will have a big following. They will be wanting to end the season with a win also.”
Leeds and Preston are both historically massive clubs with a rich history in the English game.
However, both have now been playing Football League football for some time now and their paths have crossed often down the recent years.
Both teams have finished the season strongly and will be relatively comfortable with a mid-table finish – after fears of relegation at points throughout the season.
This should be a well matched contest and both teams will be hoping to take a win, as Leeds and Preston both look to push for promotion next term.
