Former Tottenham Hotspur and Middlesbrough striker Mido has criticised Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on social networking site Twitter.
The 33-year-old former Egypt international was not impressed with the way Klopp celebrated his side’s victory over Villarreal at Anfield on Thursday evening.
The Reds got the better of Spanish club Villarreal 3-0 at home in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final tie to progress to the final 3-1 on aggregate.
Mido has revealed on Twitter that he is a fan of Klopp, but he is critical of the way the German celebrated Liverpool’s triumph.
I'm a big fan of Klopp but sorry I didn't like his Celebration last night after the game!! Your players should always be the Heroes!!— Mido (@midoahm) May 6, 2016
You won't see any of the Big Managers do that!Capello Ancelotti Hiddink..any Manager wld leave that kind of Celebration for his own players— Mido (@midoahm) May 6, 2016
Liverpool will take on Spanish outfit Sevilla in the final of the Europa League at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland later this month.
This is the third successive year that Sevilla will feature in the final of the prestigious European competition.
Unai Emery’s side have won the Europa League for the past two seasons, and they will be favourites to make it three in a row.
