Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has told Sky Sports that Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco will not join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
When asked by an Arsenal fan during a ‘Question & Answer’ session if Isco to the Gunners was on the cards, Balague said: "The chances of Isco to Arsenal: zero, cero, null, zilch, nein, no chance whatsoever.”
Isco has been on the books of Madrid since the summer of 2013 and has a contract until June 2018.
The Spain international attacking midfielder is not great off the ball, but he is certainly a very talented and creative player.
The 24-year-old is not guaranteed a place in Madrid’s starting lineup at the moment, but he remains an important part of Zinedine Zidane’s team.
Isco has scored three goals and created 43 chances in 30 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos this season.
The former Malaga star has created 21 chances in 10 Champions League matches this campaign.
Arsenal do have a number of attack-minded midfielders, and they do not need someone like Isco for next season.
