Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie shares video of fans protest

The Villa fans are not pleased after a shocking season at Villa Park.

Aston Villa took on Newcastle United today in their final home game of what has been a terrible season.

With that in mind many a Villa fan took a leaf out of Charlton Athletic’s book and decided to protest at the way the club is being run.

One way they did so was to launch beach balls on to the pitch.

Much to the humour of one former Villa player.

Lee Hendrie spent much of his career at Villa and is a boyhood Villa fan. He was in attendance at the game today and sent this tweet out from Villa Park:

On the pitch Villa did actually end their losing run.

They claimed a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United which has edged the Magpies even closer to relegation from the Premier League.

Villa fans will be glad to be potentially taking Newcastle with them. Villa relegated Newcastle the last time the Toon dropped to the Championship so the travelling fans are probably sick of Villa.

For the Villa fans however they will be hoping that things have drastically changed at the club by the time they return to follow the team in the Championship.
