The Colombian is hopeful of a great day for Newcastle United.
Newcastle United take on Aston Villa today knowing they need to get a win against the Premier League’s bottom side if they are to keep up their fight for Premier League survival.
On paper it looks a game that Newcastle should be capable of winning in order to help them in their bid for survival – with Sunderland and Norwich City both chasing and with a game in hand.
One man who is clearly hoping that Newcastle can survive in the top-flight is Faustino Asprilla.
The Colombian is a cult icon at St James’ Park after his eventful two years at the club.
He has tweeted today a picture with his former Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan and former team-mate David Ginola in his hope of Newcastle picking up a win – and their relegation rivals losing:
Asprilla has kept tabs on Newcastle’s progress all season and he clearly is still a big fan of his former team.
A win today and defeats for Sunderland and Norwich would certainly make Newcastle look like the favourites to remain in the top-flight.
However, they will need to get past Villa first.
