Liverpool secured their place in the final on Thursday evening as they were comfortable 3-0 winners over La Liga side Villarreal.
It capped off what has been a fantastic run for them in the competition, during which they have beaten both Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
They will meet holders Sevilla in the final, with Unai Emery’s side having won the competition for the last two years in a row.
Many are backing the Reds as favourites, but Dudek has insisted that there are no favourites in the final.
“There are no favourites in the final,” he told talkSPORT.
“Sevilla are a very good team, with very good experience in this competition. They’ve won it twice in a row. [However] I do think Liverpool deserve to be in the final.”
Liverpool will certainly be confident of winning the competition given the performances they have put in to get to the final.
They would be foolish to underestimate Sevilla though, who have very much prioritised the Europa League once again this season.
More importantly, and as Dudek says, they have vast experience in Europe also, something that is lacking in this Reds squad at present.
That makes them dangerous opponents, and Liverpool will have to be at their best again to ensure they are the victors.
